[font=Times New Roman]Please review this file with special attention being paid to this procedure. You will find the correct information related to the oil capacity on the Marzocchi front forks with aluminum upper legs. As you can see, GasGas Motos no longer recommends the replacement of the oil via the «capacity» method. There has been some problems relating to customers that do not remove completely the old oil. When the new oil is added, the result is a leg being overfilled. [/font]

[font=Times New Roman]This is the reason why we now suggest to change the oil using the «measurement» method as we describe in this document. (The one that measure the empty space left between the oil and the top of the upper leg.) In addition, please notice that the right leg of the ’06 front forks, holds an internal cartridge, and depending on the oil left on this cartridge, the oil needed will change. [/font]

[font=Times New Roman]The correct capacity is 230 cc. for the left leg and 130 cc. for the right one if each leg is completely dry. [/font]

[font=Times New Roman]GasGas is certain that the best way to replace the oil on the forks is by using the procedure described on this document, and we recommend replacing the oil only via the measurement method. Using this measurement method, we can be assured that the correct amount of oil is being replaced inside the respective assemblies. [/font]

 
1º – Disassemble the superior cap of each suspension leg.
 
2º – Remove the spring.
 
3º – With the suspension compressed to its maximum and verifying that there is no air remaining in the system, fill the suspension with oil.
 

4º – Re-assemble the system following the above procedure in reverse.
